Feature

Nano-size effect; reinforcement/toughening, optical & rheology modification; transparent, dispersible. Nano Silica (Nano SiO?) — Product Selling Points What it is Nano silica refers to silicon dioxide particles in the 1–100 nm range, available as dry powder or as stable dispersions in water, alcohol or oil. At this scale, the particles show strong surface effects, small-size effects and quantum effects that ordinary micron silica cannot deliver. Core selling points 1. True nano-scale particle size Primary particle diameter from 10 nm to 100 nm, with narrow distribution. Far smaller than conventional silica, so it integrates into resins, films and fibers without causing surface roughness or haze. 2. Ultra-high specific surface area BET surface area from 100 to 600 m2/g. The enormous surface and high surface energy deliver strong interaction with polymers — a tiny dosage produces a big effect. 3. Transparent and UV-shielding Particle size is far below visible-light wavelength, so nano silica reinforces and toughens coatings and plastics without reducing transparency. At the same time it absorbs and scatters UV light, slowing photo-aging and chalking. 4. Strong polymer reinforcement Added to epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, polyolefin and rubber systems, it raises tensile strength, wear resistance, scratch resistance and heat distortion temperature while keeping the material light. 5. Two delivery forms to fit your process ?Dry powder — easy to ship, store and dose; suitable for powder coatings, masterbatch and dry-blend processes. ?Dispersion (silica sol) — pre-dispersed in water, alcohol or solvent, stable and easy to add, avoiding dust and re-agglomeration. Ideal for coatings, inks and wet processes. 6. Surface chemistry fully tunable As-received (hydrophilic) or surface-modified with silane coupling agents (amino, epoxy, vinyl, methyl, fluorinated) to match polar or non-polar systems. Better dispersion, stronger bonding with the matrix, no agglomeration. 7. Excellent thermal and chemical stability Stable at high temperature, resistant to most solvents and acids (except HF and strong alkali). Does not decompose, does not volatilize, does not affect the curing of resins. 8. Low density, low dosage Typical loading 1–5% by weight — much lower than conventional fillers, so the end product stays light, thin and transparent. Typical applications Coatings and inks: scratch-resistant, anti-UV, anti-corrosion, self-cleaning and high-gloss topcoats Plastics and films: transparent reinforcing, anti-blocking, food packaging and optical films Rubber and elastomers: reinforcement, tear resistance and heat aging resistance CMP polishing: chemical-mechanical planarization slurries for silicon wafers, glass and sapphire Cosmetics: UV protection, oil control, silky feel in sunscreens, foundations and serums Textile functional finishes: anti-wrinkle, water-repellent, flame-retardant and UV-protective fabrics Advanced ceramics: low-temperature sintering and toughening New energy: lithium-battery separator coating and electrolyte additives Precision casting and refractory materials Why choose us Controlled particle size, high purity, narrow aggregate size, low grit and low black specks. Hydrophilic and hydrophobic grades, powder and dispersion forms, all customizable. Free samples with TDS and formulation support for your specific system.
